What Is the CDCP?

The CDCP is a national initiative from the Government of Canada that aims to reduce financial barriers to essential dental services. Through this program, eligible patients can receive coverage for a wide range of preventive and restorative treatments right here at Smile Town Dental Group.

How the CDCP Works

Once enrolled, eligible patients will benefit from dental services that are either partially or fully covered by the CDCP. These services may include:

• Exams and professional cleanings
• Dental X-rays
• Fillings and tooth extractions
• Root canal treatments
• Dentures and other basic restorative care

Coverage levels are based on your household income. Our team will handle billing directly with the program, so your out-of-pocket costs are minimized.

Who Is Eligible?

You may qualify for the CDCP if you:

• Don’t have access to any private or public dental insurance
• Have a household net income under $90,000
• Are a Canadian resident
• Have filed your latest income tax return

The program is being rolled out gradually. Priority is currently being given to seniors, children under 18, and individuals with disabilities, with more groups becoming eligible through 2025.
